Chapters in the
Far Western District

are always looking for new members. Most chapters have a chorus and quartets, but a few are "quartet only" chapters. Each chapter has its own style and focus ranging from "competition oriented" to a more social pursuit of singing. Many areas have several chapters to choose from, so find one that meets your needs and join us.

Use this button to submit changes to chapter information.

The chapter list below is ordered by chapter name, which often is not a city name. To find a chapter by the city name where a chorus practices, click one of these cities.

We at Central Arizona Quartet Chapter are very proud of being able to provide a quartetting opportunity for a membership that now numbers nearly 50 strong. These range from men who just want an opportunity to woodshed some chords and socialize with barbershop friends of several decades, to others who get serious about developing a performance foursome that will entertain general and show audiences alike (such as OK CHORALE and several others forming), to still others who get even more serious and work hard to win in competition (such as PASTENSE - current FWD Super Senior Champs; LEGACY - current Az/So Nev/Utah Division Champs and #4 FWD; and FINALE - current FWD Champs)   (623) 546-2981

Barbershop is about fun, fellowship and singing. Our promise is that if you come visit or choose to join; you will get plenty of all three and a whole lot more. We have members from their teens to in their seventies-but ya wouldn't know it if I didn't just tell ya! Our evening consists of vocal warmups ... chorus singing ... a mid evening break followed by a weekly quartet show. If you didn't feel like you sang enough; you went to the wrong place. WE DO SING. Let us help put a smile on your face and songs in your heart. We proudly boast divisional championships for our size chorus over many years. We were chartered in 1945 and are still going strong. Please; come try us on for size.

We are a quartet chapter. Our meetings are devoted to quartet singing and we have no chorus. Our Music Director provides a progressive program of quartet music. Our basic repertoire is the Barberpole Cat songbook. At SF Bay Cities you are the star and you own your voice part. You use your ears to blend your voice into harmonious four part chords. Join us at our friendly dinner meetings.

"To have fun by singing well", describes the South Bay Chapter. We have about 50 members at each Wednesday Chapter meeting and promote a competitive chorus (5th place in the 2000 Far Western District competition)and active quarteting. Our main thrust this year is to increase the number of active quartets in the chapter. We have an annual show in June that is unique in presentation and is eagerly looked forward to by the local community. Our director, Pete Neushul, is well known in the society and enjoys the respect of the entire membership.
